Today’s faster internet connections and growing number of connected devices are changing what home, office, and professional networks need to handle - from Wi-Fi access points and IP cameras to digital signage, kiosks, smart lighting, AV equipment, and more. The D-Link DMS-108P brings them together with 8 Multi-Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting up to 2.5GbE per port* and PoE++ across all eight ports. Its compact, fanless metal design also makes it easier to place on desktops, in wall-mount installations, AV/media cabinets, and other space-conscious environments.
With up to 230W* of total PoE power, up to 90W* available on an individual port, and up to 40 Gbps of switching capacity, the D-Link DMS-108P helps support multiple powered devices and demanding network activity at the same time.
For U.S. public-sector and enterprise deployments, the DMS-108P follows NDAA/TAA sourcing standards.

* Maximum wired connection speed is up to 2.5GbE per port. PoE power is shared across all eight ports, with up to 90W available on an individual PoE port and up to 230W total PoE power across the switch. Actual data rates, network performance, and PoE power delivery may vary based on connected devices, cabling, network conditions, and device power requirements.

All eight Ethernet ports support up to 2.5GbE* and IEEE 802.3af/at/bt PoE, allowing the DMS-108P to connect and power access points, IP/PTZ cameras, digital signage, kiosks, smart lighting, and other PoE devices over Ethernet.
PoE power is shared across the switch, with up to 230W* of total PoE power and up to 90W* available on an individual port for devices with higher power requirements.

With up to 40 Gbps of switching capacity, the D-Link DMS-108P supports simultaneous network traffic across multiple connected devices.
Automatic speed negotiation supports existing 1GbE and up to 2.5GbE connections, so Gigabit equipment and newer Multi-Gigabit devices can operate on the same switch. This helps support Wi-Fi, surveillance, shared storage, file transfers, streaming, gaming, AV, and other bandwidth-intensive applications.

The D-Link DMS-108P includes built-in traffic features that help keep your network running smoothly across connected devices. IEEE 802.1p QoS helps prioritize important traffic, IGMP Snooping helps manage multicast traffic, and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control helps manage congestion. These features work automatically, with no software configuration required.

Choose a project type, then start your project. In the planner, select each device and enter its maximum PoE power requirement. We’ll calculate the total against the DMS-108P’s 230W PoE budget.
Planning reference only. Confirm connected-device specifications before installation. The DMS-108P provides a 230W total PoE budget and supports up to 90W on an individual PoE port.
Connect compatible wired and PoE devices at up to 2.5GbE per port, with PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ power available across all 8 ports.*
Connect and power a wide range of Ethernet devices, including compatible Wi-Fi access points, PTZ and IP security cameras, digital signage, kiosks, smart lighting, VoIP phones, computers, network storage, and more. All 8 ports support network connections at up to 2.5GbE, and compatible PoE-enabled devices can receive both data and power through the same Ethernet connection.
Yes. All 8 Ethernet ports support 10/100Mbps, 1GbE, and up to 2.5GbE through auto-negotiation. All 8 ports also support PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ for compatible powered devices, with up to 90W per port and up to 230W* total PoE power budget.
The DMS-108P provides up to 230W* total PoE power budget across all 8 ports, giving you flexibility to power a mix of PoE devices from one switch. Each port supports up to 90W of PoE power, making it suitable for compatible higher-power devices such as Wi-Fi access points, PTZ cameras, digital signage, and other PoE-enabled equipment.
PoE power is shared across connected devices within the switch's total 230W PoE power budget.
Yes. The DMS-108P supports PoE, PoE+, and PoE++, allowing compatible devices with different power requirements to connect to the same switch. You can also connect standard non-PoE Ethernet devices—the port simply provides the network connection without PoE power.
In many cases, yes. Cat5e or better Ethernet cabling can support 2.5GbE, helping you upgrade network speeds without necessarily replacing existing cabling. To connect at up to 2.5GbE, the connected device and other network equipment must also support 2.5GbE.
Yes. The DMS-108P is an unmanaged, plug-and-play switch, so there is no software or switch configuration required. Connect the switch to your network, connect your devices, and the DMS-108P automatically negotiates the supported Ethernet speed for each connection.
Simply connect any of the 8 Ethernet ports to a compatible router, firewall, or another Ethernet switch. There is no dedicated uplink port, giving you flexibility in how you connect the DMS-108P to your network. The connection can operate at up to 2.5GbE when the equipment at both ends supports 2.5GbE.
Yes. Built-in features including IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP Snooping, and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control operate without switch configuration. These features help manage prioritized and multicast traffic and support efficient data flow across connected devices.
The DMS-108P's compact, fanless metal design provides flexible placement for desktops, walls, network cabinets, AV installations, and other business environments. Fanless operation also helps keep operation quiet in offices and other occupied spaces.
When placing the switch inside a cabinet or enclosure, allow adequate space and ventilation around the unit.
Each DMS-108P port supports network connections at up to 2.5GbE, providing more wired bandwidth than standard Gigabit Ethernet for compatible devices. This can benefit applications such as high-performance Wi-Fi access points, network storage, surveillance, large file transfers, and other bandwidth-intensive network traffic.
Actual speeds depend on connected devices, cabling, network equipment, network conditions, and Internet service.
Compare connectivity, PoE, deployment, and performance.
